Forever Haunting

You left me when I needed you the most,

but I’ll still always love your ghost.

Drinking, dancing, what were we thinking,

We were sinking without even blinking.

I’ll always remember the sunsets with you,

You were wearing my favorite shade of blue.

If we knew what we know now could we even outdo.

You didn’t leave a note, not even a clue.

Now I’m left with memories, bitter but true,

Trying to piece together what the hell we went through.

The nights were so long, the mornings were cold,

We were so young, but we felt so old.

And I’ll carry the weight of what could have been,

In every song, to every place we’ve been.

But I’ll still always love your ghost,

Even though you left me when I needed you the most.

I’ll always remember the sunsets with you,

You were wearing my favorite shade of blue.

If we knew what we know now, could we even outdo?

You didn’t leave a note, not even a clue.

But I’ll still always love your ghost,

Even though you left me when I needed you the most.

I’ll see your face in every crowd,

The echoes of your voice still so loud.

Our story’s carved in my soul’s core,

A love that haunts forevermore.
